| Computer viruses-
Hey, I just got hit with a virus today, and heres how I got rid of it.
Virus name Vjabovktssd.exe
Size- about 250kb
Purpose- Trojan, attacked interenet explorer and started connections to other sources
Allright, I log into my computer, and a program opens much like "Windows Defender" in my right corner of my comuter, then some errors start happening saying "ixplorer32.exe has been corrupted. (it was im on a dutch version of firefox I has a friend send me so I can restore everything)
In task mannager which I had to launch as soon as windows started I found the mysterious program, I went to it's file location and tried to send t to my recycleing bin, no good. Lucky me I have a copy of "C++" from nero for codeing configs and such, I was able to edit the program itself with this, I erased all the text it contained and then got rid of the exicutible which I was now able to do.
I believe I got this from an online video watching site, I was looking for "megavideo.com" and went to some other links.
Hopefuly none of you have to deal with this thing because its a pain in the rear, I did not get it untill yesterday at 4 according to my records so those of you who got my demo should be in the clear.

| Try using a good antivirus. And also there is a difference between a virus and malware. Actual viruses are fairly rare. | |

Woah! BUY?!? WTF!?! Who pays for anti-viri? That's insane! That's like paying for porn! Anyways... since this is what I do a lot, I'll tell you how to nuke most viruses/spyware/malware. Get a copy of HBCD (Hirens Boot CD) or UBCD 4 Windows and burn them to cds, or just download Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware. It is very slow, but it finds lots and lots of things. Disable System Restore (as many viruses can hide inside it) and boot to Safe Mode (F8 on boot). Run Malwarebyte's and whatever other antivirus programs you may have ( not at the same time mind you, many of them conflict with each other and will cause your computer to crash) then reboot. One thing to note is that no antivirus/spyware scan will find everything. Scanning with different programs will usually find things that were missed by others, and sometimes rescanning with the same program will find more things. As for active defense, I've gotten fed up with McAfee, Norton, Symantec, and AVG. They all suck IMO. I've moved on to Microsoft Security Essentials, which works very well for me. It is also FREE. Just requires validation of your version of Windows. Btw, CCleaner is really handy for un-crapifying your computer. Feel free to ask me any questions you have. ^_^
